8/1/10 Kingstown Deepstack

Easier event with a bigger starting stack... you can afford to sit around a little longer and wait for a spot. Ran two very valuable bluffs, one early on at 300/600. Small blind raised to 1900, the hijack calls, and I called with 6-6 due to the implied odds. If the board runs 6-A-K or something I win a huge pot. The flop actually comes 2-3-4, and assuming that a bet will either get them to fold overcards or get them to raise me right away, their range suggests that a bet will take the pot down more often than not, as it doesn't take a huge hand to call 1900 at 300/600 at an EPT event. Range there goes from a mid to high pair all the way down to something like J-10 suited. I bet 2000 and take down the 4K+ pot, putting me to about 16K

Moved to a new table after the dinner break, and almost immediately get dealt AQ on the button. The hijack makes it 3600 with 600/1200 blinds, I open muck as the SB was very excited about the raise and was already touching chips. He says he had AA, hijack had AK.

I pick up T-T on the button, the cutoff makes it 3,700 at 600/1200, I shove 11,200 more and he calls with Ah8h. Board runs 8c-6d-9h, X of hearts and the Tc to ship me the pot to go to about 28K.

Right before the color-up break, I pick up KQo and raise to 3500 in the cutoff. The BB comments that it's on his blind and calls. Flop comes 3-5-6 and we check-check with me in position. Turn is a 7, he checks and I bet 4K with air. He tanks for a minute and folds.

After a table break moves people over to our table, a short stack shoved 10K with A8, I wake up with AK, call and hold and move to above 40K. A few minutes later I picked up K-10, checked my option and flopped T-9-7. SB bets 5K, I raise to 13, he shoves. I tank fold and never found out what he had. He was a tight player that didn't raise without having a good hand, his range involves way too many hands that beat me that he'd complete the SB with. 6-8, 8-J, T-7, T-9, A-T all beat me badly. Best case scenario he has J-10 or Q-10 or a complete bluff.

Against a different player that just moved over, I had to lay down 5-3 on a 3-4-6 blind battle board and J-9 on a K-J-T board vs. his K-9.

Got blinded down to the final table, had 15K, folded the BB of 9-6, dunked on my SB with K-7 vs. Q-J and 9-9 who was also all in for 17K and I miss and finish 9th. 16 events, 9 Top 16s and 6 final tables. Think I'm up to 365 season points but the site won't update past 7/31.
