Played day 2. About 480 players. Very tough day, long and exhausting. My JJ lost to AK to put me at 14K chips with 1K-2K blinds. Very frustrated and tempted to shove the next hand with J/10 suited but resisted and waited for better hand and position. Doubled with KK then triple with AK vs 66 an AQ when I hit an A on the turn. Beat QQ with AK shortly after to put me over 200k in chips and on my way. I was running good after that which you have to do to go deep in tournaments. Hit a couple sets and a couple blind specials and chip count was growing to over 300K with about 100 players remaining. Kept running good had over 900K in chips with 4 tables left so I felt good about being in the final 13. Tightened up, only played big starting hands and my blinds when not raised and kept adding chips. Finally about 9pm we were at 13 and a big cheer rang out in the room. Looking forward to May 19th and hope to play on May 2oth. Going to be tough as all players have earned their spot by playing smart. Hope to be adding a positive blog in a few weeks!!!
