Help! I need words of wisdom!

It seems that lately I have been getting bad beat after bad beat. Take for instance last night, I went all in after a nice run of double-ups with AK of S. I had a caller (you know who you are, not naming any names...Shawn), who had an unsuited KJ. My "caller" got a J on the river and I was out of the game.

On Sunday I went all in pre-flop, with AJ off-suit, blinds were at 10 and 20K, I was big blind and I raised all-in pre-flop (I was 2nd biggest stack at the table). Largest stack called my pre-flop all in and she would have been left with a meager 20K on top. She had 6/7 of hearts. I thought I was sitting pretty with only one heart on the flop and a J that gave me a pair, that is until she got runner runner hearts on the turn and river.

So now, I feel like a complete nutcase for going all in pre-flop. But when blinds are getting higher and your at the final table, you want to put yourself in the best position possible to win, right?

Am I doing something wrong? Could really use those words of wisdom.
