EPT pub poker player turns 3rd place satellite voucher into $5K!
03-01-2010 12:18:24 PM
Rob Tocchi, hometown Milford, MA turned his satellite voucher that he won only 2 days prior to the event into a $5,000 First Place Finish at the $10,000 Guaranteed Tournament!
Rob had received his $30- Satellite Voucher from his finish against 30 other players on Thursday at Doc's Sports Bar and Grill in Milford, MA. Rob used his voucher at the $10,000 Guaranteed this past Saturday (2/27) that attracted 156 players and a $14,625- prize payout! 310 players attempted to satellite into this event during the $30 satellite period using either a voucher they earned at the nightly pub poker events or paying only $30- for their 1 in 5 shot at the entry for the $125- tournament at 4PM.
During the month of March along, we have over $40,000 up for grabs this month alone in GUARANTEED MONEY and most likely more with the generous charity payouts. The best part about playing in a charity event, is you are helping the community by donating to some amazing organizations across the state of Massachusetts!
We have a lot of fantastic guaranteed events coming up during the month of March so don't miss out as we give out some huge payouts every Friday and Saturday!
Hope To See You At The Tables!
MIKE WRIGHT WIN'S SECOND BATTLE OF CHAMPIONS IN A ROW !!
02-08-2010 08:47:15 AM
That's right for the second time in a row, Mike Wright takes down the Battle of Champions.
Mike Wright was able to successfully get past the very challenging field of the only 40 players in the tour with 4 wins or more. Mike was never a commanding stack throughout the tournament, he showed that patience, well timed aggression, and a little bit of luck was the perfect equation for taking down the Battle of Champions with its slow structure and small field of players!
Top 3 players, all from Southern Massachusetts, all felt the cash prize of $2,000- was worth more to them then the $4,000- WSOP Academy Package. These three players decided to chop 3 ways, with the win and and extra $200- going to the winner. Typically a chop would slow play down, but with the prestige and bragging rights associated with the battle win, top 3 went on for another 1.5 hours!
Players who made it into the money were:
Mike Wright $800-
Bill Landry $600-
John Murray $600-

CONGRATULATIONS ANDRE PEREIRA!!
01-27-2009 05:41:57 PM
Andre took down a field of 331 solid players for a seat into the 2009 World Series of Poker's Main Event!
This finish was proved to be no fluke at all as Andre finished as far as 3rd place in the last tournament of champions in July 2008 and the only player in Eastern Poker Tour history to make back to back TV tables!
Andre took his one win on 8/25/08 at Pinz and converted it into a $14,000 WSOP package for hopefully a piece of the $60 MILLION prize payout to be expected in the 2009 WSOP Main Event.
Final table action took about 5 hours total and the televised table lasted 98 hands of some excellent final table action. Players can check out this past tournament the first week in March on Comcast Sportsnet. We will publish the TV Schedule when it becomes available to us.
Thank you everyone for your participation and good luck qualifying for the next tournament scheduled for June 2009!
Congratulations all who made it into Day 2!
